Biography
Kate Burrow’s work focuses primarily on the book arts. Her senior project at Northwest Nazarene University is a contemporary illuminated manuscript which derives from European styles of the late 700s, and retells the story from a French poem, “The Song of Roland.” Kate enjoys creating art that showcases historical awareness and authenticity while remaining readable and captivating to a twenty-first century audience. She also works with oils, watercolors, gouache and encaustic paint, as well as digital and darkroom photography.
